Sydney Dreyer, LCMHC
Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor
Sydney Dreyer is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate in the state of North Carolina. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke with her Master of Arts and Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in December of 2022. Sydney also received a bachelor’s degree in psychology and criminology from Meredith College in 2018. Sydney has experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, and couples and enjoys counseling clients with anxiety, ADHD, depression, grief, trauma, and substance abuse.
Helen Keller once stated, “Although the world is full of suffering, it is also full of overcoming it.” Sydney wants clients to have this same sense of hope. She believes therapeutic relationships are vital to a person’s well-being and that being able to meet the client where they are goes a long way! She utilizes a client-centered approach, which allows the client to take part in their therapeutic process. She also applies Motivational Interviewing and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy based on the client’s needs.
Sydney is originally from Connecticut, which is known to house ESPN. She enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter. On the weekends, Sydney and her family enjoy hiking outdoors with their Great Dane and German Shepard. She also enjoys baking and reading various literature.
