Joy Stanfield, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Joy has her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of South Carolina. Her undergraduate degree was a BA in Psychology. She sees individuals aged 18 and up. Her speciality areas are: self-esteem and body image issues, anxiety, depression, grief, bipolar disorder, and PTSD.

Joy understands that each client is unique and has their own strengths. She uses her own uniqueness and strengths to help clients feel comfortable and have a safe space to be themselves, however that might look. She also works with clients with spiritual issues.
She has an eclectic style using evidence-based models including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectic behavioral therapy (DBT), cognitive processing therapy (CPT), motivational interviewing (MI), and aspects of expressive art therapy and narrative therapy. She integrates faith-based counseling upon request.

Joy enjoys watching Superhero and Disney movies, doing arts and crafts, and loving on animals, especially cats.
