Christine Marie Schneider, LMFT
Christine Schneider is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of North Carolina. She has most recently become certified and state rostered as a TFCBT Therapist for work with trauma. Christine has also received a certificate to work as an Addictions Counselor. Since 2007, she has had rich diversity in her work experience both in the academic and clinical setting treating a wide variety of clinical issues. Her clinical experience primarily includes treating the following populations: pre-marital, marital and couples, Addiction/ Codependency and Recovery, Childhood Trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, family system dynamics, women’s issues, grief, life transition issues, and spiritual or faith-based issues. She works with children and adolescents (age 7 and up), adults, couples, and families.
She is passionate about helping individuals to heal, become more emotionally attuned & enhance intimate authentic connection & communication, rebuild trust, resolve conflict, and parent & co-parent effectively. These things often can be resolved through individual and conjoint sessions. Christine tends to approach therapy through a psychoanalytical lens & family systemic perspective while often incorporating the following therapeutic models as appropriate: Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Gottman Couples Model and Imago Relationship Therapy. She also integrates faith-based and/or biblical counseling upon request.
Christine graduated with a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Western Theological Seminary in June 2007 in Santa Clara, California, and with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Louisiana State University. She also received an addiction certificate with her master's degree.
